So the other day I got a tweet from this guy asking me for my mailing address and shoe size. He said that he was a rep for Adidas Originals and he heard that I was a taste-maker in Baltimore. Furthermore he said that Adidas Originals wanted to send me some free gear.
At first I thought this was some type of hoax. Growing up in Baltimore has conditioned me to think that anything free is associated with a scam. It turns out that they were legit and they are promoting a new line of sneakers called Court Attitude. I was in NYC for a DIY Artist talk when I got the tweets but when I got back to Baltimore a brand new pair of unreleased Adidas Originals awaited me at the door.

This is my first time receiving anything for free. I didnt think these types of perks came with being a photographer.
They also invited me out to the Court Attitude launch party at Downtown Locker Room on E. Monument St.
The event was hosted and DJ’d by Jay Claxton. The music was pretty cool.
There were models at the event wearing Adidas shoes and gear. They had to freeze in the in the same pose for mad long. Not sure I could have done it.
List of complimentary things at the event.
Salmon Buffet dinner. – The fish tasted good.
Ciroc – I dont drink so I didnt take advantage of this.
2 Barbers – Yes, I got a haircut and shapeup while I was at the event. Told her not to touch the beard though…
Manicurists – Manicurists for the ladies. Some guys took advantage of this as well.
All in all it was a great experience. New thing on my to do list… Shoot a campaign for Adidas Originals Gonna figure out how to make that happen.
All photos shot on my FujiFilm x100s.
